Classic Replicas UK is a well established company in the industry of replicas and kit-cars, we were established in 2001 and have been continually developing the Ferrari Dino 246 GT and GTS for the last 9 years.

At Classic Replicas, based in Bridgwater, Somerset, our passion for the Dino’s has been channelled into producing a superb reproduction of this iconic Italian car. We are very proud of the Dino 246 GT and GTS models we produce using skilful design and engineering, and paying meticulous attention to workmanship and detail. The result is a Dino which not only combines superb strength and power to give the ultimate performance, but is hard to distinguish from the original.
Our Dino’s have attracted global interest and we have supplied the US, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Sweden and Australia. We are pleased that following a couple of visits to our workshop by Walter, the President of the Italian Dino Club has endorsed Classic Replicas Dino’s. Whilst there may be other replica Dino’s on the market, at Classic Replicas we build our Dino’s to the exact specifications and measurements of the original Dino We forego the use of donor cars manufacturing all components in our Bridgwater workshop or sourcing original Dino parts so that we retain the authentic Italian flavour of this incomparable car. The cars are hand built by passionate, skilful craftsmen who form a team dedicated to manufacturing Dino’s to the highest quality standards.

Raising the engine cover of a Classic Replicas Dino you will see Italian engineering at its best as we use the Alfa Romeo 2.5 or 3 litre V6 engine which is a proven ,reliable, truly Italian engine giving out 220 H.P, a slight increase on the HP produced by the original Dino’s.

The Chassis, an exact replica of the 1973 Dino 246 model, is fabricated from elliptical steel tubing with a fibre glass floor set on a steel frame then sprayed with a heavy duty transport paint or shot blasted and powder coated at customers’ request. Wishbones are adjustable as in the original model. Hubs are all 5 studs with original Ferrari Dino bearings; the stainless steel tanks have a capacity of 14.5 gallons; the braking system is based on that used for Alfa Romeo; and the exhaust system is constructed from stainless steel. The pedal box, heater system and steering racks and all other components are designed to be interchangeable with original Dino parts.

Classic Replicas’ Dino body moulds were taken from an original 1973 Dino and our bodies are manufactured from gel coated GRP with woven roving reinforcement in high stress areas and with a metal framework laminated into the body around the bonnet, engine cover and boot areas.

The bumpers are stainless steel; the specialist glass is made to measure and curved; window frames are designed to allow for opening of the quarter lights on both the GT and GTS models; and the windows can be either electrically or manually operated. The leather upholstery is handmade to customers’ colour specifications and we pride ourselves that the interior is identical to the original in terms of the central console, panelling, and steering column. Headlights, rear lights and indicators are all Dino originals.

Both the GT and GTS models are available fully built ready to drive away or in kit form for the self-build enthusiast. Fully built Dino’s are registered in the UK with the DVLA as new Dino’s and are road legal enabling you to drive away and experience the ultimate in performance from a truly superior car.

Our replicas are proving to be very popular with orders coming in from as far a field as the United States of America, Russia, Germany and of course a strong contingent in the UK.

The last year has been spent changing the previous Dino replica to match exactly the original Ferrari Dino 246 that we have at our workshop. Whilst 85% of parts are copied from the original where technological advances have provided us with a more reliable, better performing or safer component they have been used.
